College Accolades

During his freshman season at Kansas, Embiid made an immediate impact. He set a freshman record with 72 blocked shots and earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors. In his sophomore season, he led the Jayhawks to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

NBA Drafts and Philadelphia 76ers

In 2014, Embiid entered the NBA draft and was selected 3rd overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. However, a series of injuries prevented him from making his NBA debut until the 2016-17 season.

NBA Career Success

Despite his injury struggles, Embiid quickly emerged as one of the NBA's best centers. He was named an All-Star in his second season and has since been named an All-Star six times. In the 2022-23 season, he was named league MVP for the first time.

Physical Attributes

Embiid is known for his impressive physical attributes. Standing 7 feet tall with a 75-foot reach and weighing 250 pounds, he has an ideal body for an NBA center. His strength, agility, and defense make him a dominant force on both ends of the court.
