The Arsenal is the rich in tradition art-house cinema of the friends of the Kinemathek. Since 2000 the cinema Arsenal is one of the most frequented movie theaters in Berlin. Thanks to the Arsenal’s own video distribution and the close working relationship with absolut MEDIEN we can guarantee a program which far exceeds the boundaries of the mainstream films.

At the end of 2024 the Arsenal will move out of the Filmhaus on Potsdamer Platz and will open its new cinema in the West Hall of the silent green Kulturquartier in summer 2026.
